Did you know St Marys has their own version of a welcome wagon?

Friends of the library (FOL) gathers promotional material from businesses and services in the area and encourages folks new to Perth County to visit the library to get a library card and pick up a welcome package. It can include business cards, pens, special offers, samples, etc., that our local businesses and services have provided. 

Designed to give sponsors immediate exposure to newcomers in the community, the packages highlight your presence and that you are a trusted expert in your field. Most sponsors begin with a quantity of 50 or 100 of each item. We contact you when we are running low.

The sponsorship fee for 2026 is $100 to have your business/service included.  Any amount over and above would be appreciated and will receive a charitable receipt. Please e-transfer to FriendsOfStMarysPublicLibrary@gmail.com, or deliver a cheque, payable to the “Friends of the Library” to the library staff. Please add ‘FOL welcome package sponsorship’ on the memo line. A receipt will be issued from the FOL in the new year. A FOL volunteer will pick up the promotional material that you wish to include in the bag, or you can drop it off at the library.
